At Rattlestick, our goal is to bring our resources to the artists and let them create, draft, and discover their work on their own terms. With your help, we can continue to provide adventurous artists with the support they need to see their visions realized.

By becoming a Friend of Virgil, you are not only supporting this production, you are celebrating this deeply communal and theatrical work that carries out Rattlestick’s mission to inspire empathy and provoke conversation that will lead to positive social change.

Become a Friend of Virgil

Rattlestick is proud to be an artistic home for Obie Award-winning and Pulitzer Prize Finalist actor-playwright Dael Orlandersmith (Horsedreams, Until the Flood). Dael’s body of work aligns beautifully with Rattlestick’s history of producing diverse, challenging, and provocative plays. We are thrilled to present the New York premiere of Dael’s latest piece Spiritus/Virgil’s Dance, directed by Neel Keller.

From Scala to Plutus, all Friends of Virgil receive free performance ticket(s), recognition online and in programs, early access booking, and prime performance seating. Pending the giving level you choose, additional benefits range from an invitation to opening night to a signed production poster. Please consider supporting Spiritus/Virgil’s Dance by becoming a Friend of Virgil. Your gift not only supports this production, but allows Rattlestick to invest in innovative work, like Spiritus/Virgil's Dance, and keeps ticket prices affordable for everyone in our community.

Spiritus/Virgil’s Dance will run February 1 to March 9, 2024. Tickets will go on sale to the public December 14th.
