Producing theater to inspire empathy and provoke conversations in response to the complexities of our culture.
New Songs Now
New Songs Now is an unplugged concert series that gives inventive songwriters the opportunity to test out new material in a low-key, fun environment. We believe in creating a space for innovative artists to try out risky new material, and New Songs Now does just that. Each night, composers share selections of their work, followed by a conversation with the artists to demystify the songwriting process.
The F*ck!ng Good Plays Festival is a week-long mini-festival of free staged readings of bold new work. Each night during the Festival, Rattlestick features a play that is provocative, courageous, complex, and very, very new. Previous F*ck!ng Good Plays have often been written by playwrights yet to have a world premiere in New York.
F*CKING GOOD PLAYS FESTIVAL 2018 WILL TAKE PLACE MAY 7-11.
TheaterJam is a one day, director-driven festival featuring over 20 writers, and scores of new artists. The event is a theater marathon packed with back-to-back thrilling programming. Actors Who Write Lab
The Rattlestick Actors Who Write Lab is an informal gathering of actors who meet over several sessions to share and workshop new writing. The Lab is meant to help support actors who are interested in stepping into a career in playwrighting. Each session, individuals bring new pages to be read and discussed by the group. Plays workshopped in the Actors Who Write Lab have gone on to have productions regionally and in New York.
