William Francis Hoffman: CAL IN CAMO

Colt Coeur & Rattlestick present the world premiere of
by William Francis Hoffman
directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt
Starring Katya Campbell, David Harbour, Gary Leimkuhler & Paul Wesley

Marooned in a sinking starter home in rural Illinois, Cal struggles to bond with her newborn daughter as her beer salesman husband struggles in vain to land accounts in unpromising new territory. Playwright William Francis Hoffman’s new play Cal in Camo probes the nature of family bonds and questions whether the wounds of our past irrevocably impact our capacity for connection. Heartbreaking and mysterious; Cal in Camo is laced with lacerating humor, and punctuated by moments of blinding revelation.

“ a vernacular, mystical cocktail of a play”, Ben Brantley, The New York Times
This intensely performed, baffling and overwrought troubled suburban marriage drama has a disturbed brother and an ominous sinkhole in the backyard. -
