Artistic Line Producer
Rattlestick Theater is seeking an Artistic Line Producer to join its team. Reporting to Associate Artistic Director Kate Eminger, this position serves as a bridge to Rattlestick’s Artistic Department, bringing together creativity, artistry, and logistical mastery to produce diverse, provocative, and expansive new work for the stage.
Responsibilities include managing artistic coordination for:
Productions/Workshops/Development:
Acting as the central liaison between Rattlestick, stage management, and creative teams to facilitate artistic coordination and support, including but not limited to creative team onboarding, information collection and dissemination, tracking paperwork, updating contact sheets, prompting artists and teams to complete tasks, and ordinary rehearsal coordination requests
Strategizing, problem-solving, and managing logistics for each project
In consultation with the Artistic Department, scouting, coordinating, and acquiring rental spaces for productions, rehearsal spaces, or event spaces as needed,including acting as the point person liaising with facilities, management, and space owners
Confirming and scheduling of project timelines and rehearsal schedules in consultation with Artistic + Casting departments
Building and managing project budgets in consultation with Managing Director + Artistic Department
Serving as primary contact and coordinator for the shared co-op rehearsal space on behalf of Rattlestick
Coordinating meet & greets for rehearsals (productions, workshops, and readings)
Script preparation and printing
Tracking Artist invite lists/comps in consultation with front-of-house staff
Attend all key dates in person, including, but not limited to: site visits, relevant staff meetings, production meetings, load-in and load-out, and key performances and showings
Events:
Collaborating and strategizing with the Artistic and Development Departments to support and execute Rattlestick’s yearly event goals
Coordinating and acquiring outside vendors for event needs, including venue, food & beverage, and equipment rentals
Organizing and orchestrating volunteer teams at large-scale events
Coordinating the load-in and load-out of all event venues, including the theater, with in-person supervision throughout the process
Tracking artist invite lists/comps and confirming with front-of-house staff

Systems Aptitude: Experience with theatrical production systems and budgeting structures Proficiency in building and managing budgets. Possesses a strong familiarity with union regulations and NYC labor laws.
Fostering Innovation: Skilled at implementing new or enhanced strategies and methodologies to improve our producing model. Excels in developing creative and practical solutions to complex challenges.

Candidates must reside full-time in New York City. Currently, the administrative staff works in a hybrid model. This position requires in-person office days with the flexibility to work remotely in consultation with the supervisor, as well as attendance at special events and key performances during evenings and weekends. This position is full-time, exempt, with an anticipated start date in early January, 2026. The salary range is $55,500 – $62,500 per year. This position offers health insurance, plus a benefits package which includes two weeks of PTO and flex spending plans for commuting expenses.
